Meet the Team - Daniel Cobb
A little bit about me:
I graduated from Oxford Brookes, having studied Languages for Business, where the main focus was on Spanish. This is where I fell in love with the Spanish culture. After graduating I joined Nestle as a salesman for a couple of years and then moved into Marketing, working on the relaunch of Nescafe Original and Gold Blend. I was then promoted to help lead the launch of Nescafe Dolce Gusto. After Nestle I worked for Britvic as a Senior Brand Manager on J2O. Following that, I spent 3 enjoyable years at Coca-Cola, managing the Schweppes Brand as well as leading the development of an Adult Sparkling soft drink for Europe. Now, I get an enormous amount of fulfillment putting all the valuable experience I have had towards helping grow and build our family business.
What I do out of work:
I like to fill every moment of the day. I have an incredibly supportive wife and three children who I absolutely love spending time with. I am a Major in the Reserve Army which has included 6 month operational tour of Iraq. I love running. I have 4 marathons under my belt and maybe one more in the tank!
What I enjoy about working at Daniel Cobb: I am fascinated by the property industry because of how significant a role it plays in all of our lives. I believe our family business is well placed in terms of structure, identity and culture to offer a highly professional and straight talking service in an industry which is often tarnished with bad press.
I am confident that my Marketing experience for some of the largest FMCG corporates in the world provides me with a unique and fresh perspective on how to affect a step change in our business and the industry as a whole.
Proudest moments to date:
Over the last year, our biggest investment and success has been on sourcing talent so that we can nurture both theirs and our progression.
For the last 2 years our year on year revenue performance has been consistently in excess of 20%
