Meet the Bake Off challenge in our cutting-edge kitchens
The spacious, light-filled reception/dining room boasts picture windows and wooden slats flooring
Cross Wednesday nights off the calendar, grease those silicone cake moulds and fire up the oven. Bake Off is back!
Viewers all over the country will be glued to their screens for the next ten weeks as twelve new contestants battle it out in Series 7 of the BBC’s hugely popular TV series. The Great British Bake-off was the most watched TV programme of 2015, with over 15 million viewers. It has now returned with a brand new trial. As well as working against the clock to create mouth-watering cakes, pastries and bread products, the rookie bakers will face “Batter Week”, a test described by judge Paul Hollywood - with his usual talent for understatement - as “a little bit taxing”.
The Bake Off action takes place in a tent, so in addition to these tough weekly trials, contestants are forced to navigate their way around an unfamiliar space, dodging Mel and Sue’s innuendos and TV cameras as they go. If you’re a budding cook or baker you know the importance of a good, well-planned kitchen. One of Daniel Cobb’s budding baker couples selected their favourite (pictured below) from a range of impressive kitchens in houses for sale or flats to rent in London.
This contemporary kitchen in a riverside Vauxhall property is a baker’s dream.
If contemporary kitchen design (pictured above) helps put you in the mood to bake, you’ll feel at home in this light, bright three bedroom flat in Palace View, a new luxury riverside development on the northern edge of Vauxhall Nine Elms. But, whatever you do, don’t glance out of the window while you’re baking: the panoramic views over the Thames are enough of a distraction to result in a charred ciabatta or a soggy-bottomed sponge.
