The first Adams Antiques Fair of 2016 will be taking place this Sunday at the Horticultural Hall on Vincent Square. This is one of the biggest (140+ stalls) and one of the longest running monthly antiques fairs in London, having taken place at the Horticultural Halls since the 1970s! This fair is always hugely popular so make sure you get there early to avoid the long queues, which often go round the block!

The 13th annual London Short Film Festival has returned this week, and the ICA in St. James' will be showcasing some of the fantastically creative works over the course of the week and weekend, until Sunday, 17th January. The festival aims to celebrate the very best of British short films, focussing primarily on documentaries, experimental, and animation works. There will be screenings throughout the weekend at the ICA, and tickets must be booked in advance.

London Bridge, South Bank, Borough and Bermondsey:
"Liberty in Fashion" is the latest exhibition now showing at the Fashion and Textile museum on Bermondsey Street, and it aims to celebrate the 140 year history of Liberty, and it's impact on British fashion. There will be over 150 objects, textiles, and fabrics on display showcasing many of the vibrant floral, paisley, and patterned prints that Liberty is synonymous with whilst encouraging visitors to explore how their work influenced many key trends over the years.

The Southbank Centre have outdone themselves this year with their incredible Winter Festival which has some amazing festive shows, pop-up and activities happening over this festive season for the whole family to enjoy! Lee Miller is considered one of the most important photographers of the 20th century, in particular for her work that captures the role women played in the lead-up to, during, and the aftermath of the Second World War. The Imperial War Museum's exhibition 'Lee Miller: A Woman's War' explores the impact of the war on women's lives. It is the first exhibition that addresses Miller's vision of gender through her many photographs, art, objects, and many personal items never seen before.

Magma Poetry Magazine presents the third event in their National Conversation project, "Peel and Portion" supported by Arts Council England at the Tea House Theatre this Friday (15th Jan). The evening will explore a poem’s origins, the changes it goes through, and at what point it is considered finished through discussions with a varied group of leading poets as they explain their drafting and re-drafting process, The format of the event will be a hosted Q&A, with projected examples of the poems, and a reading of the works by the poets.
