Adam’s Antiques Fair in Victoria
The ‘Horti as it is also known, is the longest running Sunday antiques fair in London, with traders coming from all over the UK and Europe to take part at the historic Lindley Hall which is part of the Royal Horticultural Halls in Victoria. This month, the dealers will be specialising in fine jewellery, silver, paintings and ceramics as well as other iteams. There will be over 140 stands, selling a wide variety of decorative and ancient pieces, making it a totally unique event for you to try this weekend. If you’re keen to learn about the antiques trade a discover a real insiders’ secret, then this is the place to be.
Pimlico Road Farmers’ Market in Pimlico
Every Saturday in the leafy Orange Square in Pimlic, also known as Mozart Square, there is a lovely weekly farmers’ market. With plenty of space to sit around and soak up the atmosphere on a sunny day, this is also the perfect spot to buy fresh fruits, juices, fresh pasta, free range eggs, lots of quality meat and poultry and fresh fish and shellfish. The smell of artisan breads and cheeses is also quite hard to miss. This particular farmers’ market has previously won the Love London Awards and for good reason. This is a great way to spend your Saturday morning and it is open from 9am to 1pm. Julius Caesar in London Bridge
Shakespeare’s political thriller, Julius Caesar, comes to the Bridge Theatre in London Bridge this weekend. A story about how the educated elite conspire to bring down Caesar and the repercussions of his assassination. With the help of production designer Bunny Christie and Nicholas Hytner, the auditorium will be transformed into a promenade for Caesar’s triumphant return to Rome. Audience members will be able to choose from two ways of experiencing the production: they can sit in-the-round and look onto the arena, or become part of the action and join the crowds that stand amongst the streets celebrating his return. This will make for an exciting and immersive play.
Sea Life Lates in Southbank
The Sea Life London Aquarium reopens this Saturday evening for an after-hours, adults-only exclusive late night experience which allows you to encounter extraordinary marine life in all its glory. The event will include the new Jellyish experience where you can be one of the first visitors to immerse yourself in the fascinating world of the jellyfish, with a new sensory experience that will enlighten you to this mysterious and beautiful species. The evening starts with a glass of Prosecco to prepare you for passing over the Shark Walk, a glass walkway above our magnificent Shark Discovery. What better way to spend Saturday night doing something that you would never usually do! Vauxhall City Farm in Vauxhall
If you’re thinking of something to do with the kids this weekend that will get them outdoors, then head to the Vauxhall City Farm which has re-opened after the Christmas break. This is a little piece of the countryside right in Central London and is a fun day out that provides visitors and the local community with educational activities, riding lessons and just a peaceful escape from city life. They say that stroking an animal releases endorphins so what better way to get then to go along and meet these adorable animals. From guinea pigs and rabbits to llamas, goats and horses there is some kind of animal for everyone.
