Around The World in 80 Washing Lines Exhibition in London Bridge
The Menier Gallery in London Bridge is playing host to the exhibition Around The World in 80 Washing Lines created by conceptual artist Mahlia Amatina. An interactive, multi-sensory art installation, this exhibition depicts unique washing lines from across the globe. The exhibition contrains 80 stories of humanity, from 80 different people who all share photos of their laundry and more. Described as an exhibition about humanity, connectedness and laundry, Amatina makes the point that it doesn’t matter where you live in the world, everyone has laundry to do and issues to deal with! If you’re interested in looking at properties to rent or properties to buy in the London Bridge area, pop in and have a chat to one of our team who will be happy to help.
The Celebration Sale in Borough Market
Borough Market will hold its inaugural Young Marketeers' Celebration Sale which brings children from diverse communities in London together through the art of food. Primary school children with backgrounds spanning four continents will be setting up their own stalls at one of London’s most famous food markets to sell their homemade cakes, breads and pastries that celebrate their cultural heritage. The budding bakers are given the opportunity the day before to take a special tour of the market to learn why their food is such an important part of their heritage and to learn the stories behind some of the products that they sell. This will be a lovely event to visit and support the children involved, and also a chance to try some delicious delicacies you might not already be familiar with.
If you’re interested in finding out more about future events in Westminster, London, Kennington and the surrounding areas, feel free to drop by any of our offices – we’ll be glad to provide you with a list. We can arrange viewings of properties for sale and properties for rent within walking distance of some of these popular venues.
