Westminster Bridge closes for Transformers action movie
Early rising tourists and staff from nearby St. Thomas Hospital were surprised to find a film crew in action on Westminster Bridge on Saturday 24th September 2016. Members of the public watched in fascination as special cars and taxis, including a Harrods van and a new Routemaster bus, raced across the bridge, with vehicles periodically reversing and moving forward again for re-takes.
The crew were filming Transformers 5, the latest in the action franchise featuring giant, shape-changing robots. Directed by Michael Bay, the film is set to be released by Paramount Pictures in June 2017.
Apparently some nurses from St Thomas Hospital were less than amused to find that they were forced to walk across Lambeth bridge to start their morning shift. Daniel Cobb's staff also start early on a Saturday and a couple of team members heading for property viewings in Westminster, Victoria and St. James only just managed to reach their destinations in time.
However, it's good to know that London's iconic views continue to attract the interest of international movie-makers, and we look forward to seeing the film when it is released next summer. If you are looking for Westminster property to rent or buy, then get in touch with Daniel Cobb today. We like to be flexible, so we can arrange viewings at whatever time of day suits you, even if it means dodging giant robots to get there.

"Pedestrians and traffic were barred from 7am to 9am on Saturday whilst special cars and taxis raced across the bridge. Other vehicles included a Harrods van and a New Routemaster bus."
