#RefillRevolution
This month, we joined the #RefillRevolution that encourages people to stop purchasing single-use plastic bottled water and instead refilling their own bottles. Currently, less than 30% of people in the UK drink tap water in a reusable bottle, despite the fact that we are lucky to have some of the best quality, free drinking water in the world.
When you're out and about, it can often be a nuisance to find somewhere to refill your bottle and easier to jump into a shop and buy a bottle of water. The average person in the UK will use 150 plastic water bottles every year. If just one in ten Brits refilled once a week, we'd have 340 million less plastic bottles a year in circulation - which is a pretty good reason to start Refilling!
Refill is a City To Sea campaign, who want to disrupt the current social norm that we need to buy bottled water when 'drinking on the go' and make it normal and easy for people to carry a reusable bottle and refill for free when out and about. They have created an app that allows you to search for your nearest free Refill station. With over 14,000 Refill Stations nationwide, refilling your water bottle has never been easier.
Look out for the blue Refill sticker in the window of our 4 offices in London Bridge, Westminster, Kennington and Clapham to save money, stay hydrated and prevent plastic pollution at source. Pop in and refill your bottle anytime - don't be shy!
